Description
An executive sous chef is a chef who is second in command in a restaurant kitchen, reporting to the executive chef. Their responsibilities include:
Supervising kitchen staff
Coordinating food production
Enforcing health and safety standards
Training staff
Assisting with food preparation
Checking the quality of line cooks work
Communicating with front-of-house managers
To be successful in this role, youll need: A degree from a culinary school, Proven cooking and managing experience, Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and The ability to work under pressure.
