- A physical therapy technician (PT tech) works under the supervision of a physical therapist and helps injured patients and individuals recovering from surgery regain their mobility. Therapeutic procedures might include paraffin baths, hydrotherapy, mat exercises, gait training, and weight training.
- Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
Certification from an accredited physical therapy technician program is preferred
Previous experience in physical therapy is preferred
Basic technological proficiency
Physical ability to lift and move patients as needed
