Adapting lessons: Modifying general lessons to meet students needs
Teaching: Teaching students in a variety of ways, including as a class, in small groups, and one-on-one
Tracking progress: Monitoring students performance and updating their IEPs
Communicating: Discussing students progress with parents, other teachers, counselors, and administrators
Preparing for transitions: Helping students transition between grades and from school to life outside of school
Advising: Advising class teachers on how to adapt the curriculum and teaching strategies
Collaborating: Working with other professionals, such as psychologists and speech and language therapists
