Description: Testing and analyzing
Conducting chemical, biochemical, physical, and biological analyses on samples, such as water, wastewater, gases, sludges, and soils
Setting up and maintaining equipment
Setting up lab testing equipment, cleaning and calibrating it, and managing inventory
Recording and reporting data
Logging and analyzing data, and recording and reporting findings in a clear and timely manner
Following safety standards
Following safety standards and regulations, and using protective devices such as masks, goggles, and gloves
Supporting quality control
Supporting the quality control department by keeping up to date with changes in procedures and being involved in projects
Communicating with others
Liaising with other team members or stakeholders
Laboratory analysts often work in the medical, pharmaceutical, or chemical fields, and may work alongside scientists and doctors. They typically need an associates or bachelors degree

Requirements: Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a laboratory setting.
