Description: Cleaning teeth, examining mouths for signs of disease, and teaching patients how to maintain good oral health
Sterilizing and maintaining equipment
Making sure all equipment and machinery are sterilized and ready for use, and maintaining dental operating equipment
Keeping the surgery clean
Keeping the dental surgery clean and tidy, and ensuring the surgery has enough stock
Supporting patients
Providing emotional support to patients, as dental practices can be a source of anxiety
Taking notes
Keeping diligent notes in patient records during consultations and treatments
Helping with administration
Helping administration and reception teams maintain patient administration
Some skills that are required for a dental nurse include:

Requirements: Certified Dental Nurse qualification.
Previous experience in a dental practice is preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Knowledge of dental procedures and hygiene practices.
Proficiency in dental software and record-keeping.
Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially.
Empathy and patience when dealing with patients.
