Description
A Medical Secretary provides administrative support to healthcare professionals and ensures the smooth operation of medical offices or healthcare facilities. They manage schedules, handle patient inquiries, and maintain records while ensuring compliance with medical and legal standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule appointments for patients, doctors, and healthcare staff.
Patient Communication: Answer phone calls, handle inquiries, and communicate with patients regarding appointments, procedures, and office policies.
Medical Records Management: Maintain and organize patient files, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Billing and Documentation: Assist with billing processes, prepare insurance forms, and process patient payments.
Office Administration: Handle general office tasks, such as filing, typing correspondence, and managing office supplies.
Coordination: Liaise between medical staff, patients, and insurance companies to facilitate smooth communication.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma (Associate’s degree or certification in medical administration preferred).
Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or administrative role is often required.
