Description
The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of all guests and swimmers by preventing accidents, responding quickly to emergencies, and enforcing pool/beach safety rules. The role requires vigilance, professionalism, and compliance with UAE safety standards and Dubai Municipality regulations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Constantly monitor swimming areas to ensure the safety of all guests.
Prevent accidents by identifying potential hazards and taking proactive measures.
Respond immediately to emergencies, performing rescues, first aid, and CPR as required.
Enforce pool and beach regulations, including rules on diving, running, or unsafe behavior.
Inspect and maintain safety equipment (lifebuoys, first aid kits, rescue tubes, etc.) to ensure readiness.
Report incidents, accidents, and unsafe conditions to supervisors and document in the logbook.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with inquiries and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.
Maintain high levels of physical fitness, alertness, and readiness at all times.
Comply with Dubai Municipality health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Attend regular training sessions, drills, and refresher courses to maintain certifications.

Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid Dubai Municipality Lifeguard Certificate (or internationally recognized certificate such as RLSS, ILS, or Red Cross, subject to Dubai Municipality approval).
Certification in First Aid and CPR/AED.
Strong swimming and rescue skills.
Excellent observation and quick decision-making abilities.
Ability to remain calm and act decisively in high-pressure situations.
Good communication skills in English (Arabic or additional languages is an advantage).
Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role.
