- Description
- The Florist is responsible for implementing and maintaining floral presentations, plants, and supporting displays. This will be accomplished by utilizing and maintaining live plants and flora, in coordination with supporting props and displays, to support the seasonal and or other themes as set forth by management.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintains a consistently smooth running operation while implementing cost effective measures.
2. Maintains floral and display presentation quality standards.
3. Adheres to budgetary goals and guidelines to meet resort presentation standards.
4. Monitors all current inventories and the ordering of new product. Ensures rotational practices are in place to minimize waste and to ensure the freshness of stock at all times.
5. Communicates with leadership and staff on upcoming events, and promotions. Creates, designs, and maintains products to complement and support all events.
6. May provide support for other ancillary service areas to ensure company service expectations and presentations standards are met.
7. Assists and executes holiday display planning, and implements seasonal projects as requested.
8. Provides a pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff and guests.
9. Works a varied schedule that meets the needs of events and deadlines.
10. Performs other related duties capable of being performed as requested by Management.
