Basic Function
.Perform general stevedoring duties mainly but not limited to container and cargo lashing and unlashing, manual stuffing and destuffing of containers (if required),assisting at lining station in case of shortage.
.Assist technicians during repairs and maintenance activities in addition to cleaning and washing of equipment
Work Performed:
.Lashing and unlashing of containers and cargo on board vessels following safe methods and meeting productivity standards.
.Perform duties related to yard clean up on a regular basis.
.General Stevedoring of goods and materials in vessels, warehouse, vehicles and containers.
.Hook-on and Hoof-off cargo to hoisting gear during loading and discharging of containers.
.Fitting and taking off twist locks under the cranes.
.Assist technicians during maintenance activities.
- Requirements
- High school Diploma
At least one year related work experience
