- A Neonatology Specialist, also known as a Neonatologist, is a highly trained pediatrician who provides specialized medical care to newborn infants, particularly those born prematurely, with birth defects, or experiencing critical illnesses, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and management within a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), often collaborating with other healthcare professionals while offering support and education to families throughout the infants care journey
- Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Neonatologist or similar role
A willingness to work long hours and remain on-call for emergency situations
The ability to work under pressure and stress
Strong communication skills and patience and empathy towards patients and their families
Strong dedication and motivation for helping newborn infants
Relevant training and/or certifications as a Neonatologist
