- A laboratory specialist is responsible for the following duties:
Performing experiments and analyzing results following established protocols.
Maintaining lab equipment and calibrating instruments.
Adhering to strict safety regulations.
Documenting results via data entry.
Maintaining inventory and performing quality assuranc
- Requirements
- A minimum of a BSc in medical diagnostics, medical technology or an equivalent with a specialist in medical microbiology;
6 Years of experience in medical microbiology in a human clinical laboratory in developing countries with at least two years’ experience in a laboratory quality management role
Knowledge and experience in the laboratory diagnosis of infectious diseases including specific hands-on laboratory experience.
