- Description
- Major duties include but are not limited to: Hearing aid troubleshooting and repair. Performing visual and auditory checks of hearing aids and hearing assistive technology -including all hearing aid accessories as well as alerting devices. Fabricating earmold impressions with proper (non-diagnostic) otoscopy.
- Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Audiology or a related field.
State licensure or certification as a Hearing Aid Specialist.
Previous experience in conducting hearing evaluations and fitting hearing aids is preferred.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing the practice of hearing aid dispensing.
Proficiency in using audiometric equipment and software for hearing testing and hearing aid programming.
