- Description
- Patient Care: Conduct regular examinations, screenings, and diagnostic tests to assess womens health, including Pap smears, ultrasounds, and hormone profile blood tests.
Diagnosis and Treatment: Diagnose and treat various gynecological conditions such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, and hormonal disorders. Provide treatments or surgeries as necessary.
Pregnancy Care: Monitor and manage the health of pregnant women, offering prenatal counseling and care, and addressing any complications that arise during pregnancy and childbirth.
Patient Education: Advise patients on reproductive health issues, family planning, contraception, and disease prevention. Lead educational workshops on womens health topics.
Collaboration: Work with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and refer patients to specialists when needed.
Documentation: Maintain detailed patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
- Requirements
- Doctor of medicine (MD) or doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) degree.
State license to practice medicine.
Proven experience working as a gynecologist.
