- Patient Care: Assist in preparing patients for dental procedures, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns they may have. Greet patients warmly upon arrival and provide information about procedures.
Assisting During Procedures: Support the dentist during examinations and treatments by passing instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a sterile environment. Prepare dental instruments and equipment for use.
Sterilization and Infection Control: Sterilize dental instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
Administrative Duties: Manage patient records, schedule appointments, handle billing, and maintain inventory of dental supplies. Ensure that all patient information is kept confidential and complies with HIPAA regulations.
Radiography: Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist, ensuring proper techniques are used for accurate imaging.
