Description: Patient care Welcoming and preparing patients, Taking vital signs, Monitoring patients during procedures, and Instructing patients on oral hygiene.
Recordkeeping Maintaining patient records, Updating patient charts, and Managing patient billing and insurance claims.
Scheduling Scheduling patient appointments, Following up with patients to confirm appointments, and Rescheduling appointments if necessary.
Instrument preparation Sterilizing instruments and equipment, Preparing trays for procedures, and Placing rubber dams and clamps for restorative procedures.
Procedure assistance Passing instruments to the dentist, Applying suction to keep the patients mouth dry, Tending to the patient during procedures, Taking impressions of teeth for study models, and Polishing clinical crowns.

Requirements: Certification or associate degree in an accredited dental assisting program.
Dental x-ray certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of Dental Hygiene Program.
Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
Able to provide great patient care.
