Description: We are seeking a patient-focused, kind, and caring Anaesthesiologist to join our team! The ideal candidate for this specific role will have a strong background in anesthesia and be adept at following strict protocol in putting patients to sleep, both in planned and emergency surgery settings. The focus of the role is to assist surgeons and doctors with providing anesthesia to their patients, liaising with patients, educating them on anesthesia, its risks and benefits, and ensuring they are aware of how to look after themselves post anesthesia.

Responsibilities

- Complete preoperative examinations of patients, including their height, weight, and other medical conditions or diseases they may have.
- Make an assessment of the patient’s overall health for the procedure.
- Discuss risks and benefits of anesthesia with the patient and their families.
- Consult with surgeons and doctors to ascertain the length of surgery and how long a patient needs to be under anesthesia.
- Consult with patients pre- and post-anesthesia.
- Be on hand and alert to assist with any emergencies or problems during anesthesia.
- Put patients under anesthesia and monitor their vital signs during and after anesthesia.
- Work in line with patient confidentiality and safeguarding guidelines.

Requirements: Anesthesiologist Requirements:

A degree in Medicine with a 3-year residency in Anesthesiology.
A valid state licence and malpractice insurance.
A strong working knowledge of maths, science, and medical practices.
Strong detail-oriented ability.
Excellent communication skills.
Knowledge of multiple languages will be an advantage.
Ability to make quick decisions in a highly stressful environment.
