- Position Description:
• The Secondary English Language Arts teacher will work to scaffold, support, and deepen middle and high school students’ understanding of the English language through reading, writing, and speaking.
• The teacher will guide the student academically, socially, physically, and emotionally in a manner that fosters the overall development and well-being of each individual.
• The teacher’s goal is to create a stimulating and inspiring learning environment in which the child becomes a proactive learner.
• The teacher shall also maintain a positive and caring environment, to provide sensitive support to each child and to challenge each child to reach his/her fullest potential in each developmental area.
- Requirements
- An English teacher plays a crucial role in developing a students oral and written communication skills, like writing formal letters, reports, speeches, poetry and short stories. They teach sentence structure, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and literature of the language.
