- A Light Bus Driver operates a “conventional“ school bus of up to 28,000 pounds gross vehicle weight. The typical duties for this position include: Operating a school bus to transport students to and from school and other locations as scheduled. Maintaining proper student behavior and safe riding practices on the bus
- Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and valid drivers license.
Minimum of two years EMT and driving experience.
First aid and CPR certification.
Knowledge of radio transmission codes.
Emergency vehicle operator certification may be advantageous.
Excellent defensive driving skills and the ability to read a map.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
