- An Audiologist is a healthcare professional who diagnoses, manages, and treats hearing, balance, and related disorders in people of all ages. They assess hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance problems, and develop individualized treatment plans, which may include fitting and managing hearing aids or cochlear implants. Audiologists also counsel patients and their families on communication strategies and hearing loss prevention.
- Requirements
- Masters or doctoral degree in audiology.
Over 3 years experience practicing audiology.
Strong communication skills.
BLS Certification.
ASLHA Certification.
