- A clinical pathologist diagnoses diseases by examining cells and tissues. They process urine, blood samples, operate laboratory equipment, and perform techniques like Immunohistochemistry and PCR. They interpret laboratory findings, provide diagnoses, and coordinate scientific research.
- Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field.
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
4 to 7 years’ internship and residency training, specializing in pathology.
Exceptional analytical and research skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
