Description: Responsible for all the fabrication fit up activities in the concerned bay under the guidance of
bay in charge / supervisor in order to meet the set production targets and also for the continuous
feeding of fitted members to the corresponding welding crews while maintaining the safe &
clean working environment.

Requirements: Responsible for cutting, fitting and welding projects as directed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· 5 years of prior structural steel fabrication experience.
1. Must be able to read and understand shop fabrication drawings and be able to layout, fit-up
and form material according to the prints.
2. Mark reference points into materials to prepare for various modifications and additions prior to
welding
3.Position and tighten braces, bolts, clamps, boots and other necessary parts into place for
welding and riveting
4.Straighten parts that are bent or warped due to defects in the manufacturing process or
damage caused by human error
5.Preheat workpieces to make them malleable prior to shaping
6.Shape, bevel and level low points along the length of structural components
7.Align and fit parts to spec using the proper tools, including hammers, pry bars, wedges,
turnbuckles and other appropriate tool selections
8.Use squares, levels and other measuring tools to confirm that all parts are manufactured to
specifications
9. Must have a good understanding of welding symbols.
10. Prior Steel Structure work experience is required.
