The Florist/Floral Designer/Floral Assistant is responsible for creating beautiful and high-quality floral arrangements, providing excellent customer service, and contributing to the overall success and aesthetic of the business. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, a passion for flowers, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
* Design and create a wide variety of floral arrangements, bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, wreaths, and other floral pieces for various occasions (e.g., everyday arrangements, weddings, funerals, corporate events) following established design principles and customer specifications.
* Process and condition fresh flowers, including stripping leaves, cutting stems, and hydrating, to ensure longevity and freshness and maintain inventory of fresh flowers, plants, and floral supplies, ensuring proper storage and rotation.
* Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail space, including display areas, workrooms, and storage areas.
* Ensure proper handling and disposal of floral waste and may assist with local deliveries and setup of floral arrangements at event venues.
