- We are looking for an organized, experienced store keeper to be responsible for all stock for the Factory store.
To be successful as a store keeper you must be able to multitask and perform under pressure while remaining professional. A good store keeper is able to manage stock by keeping a record of raw materials and ordering the required replacement items.
The storekeeper is responsible for the maintenance of our Factory store room, performing activities such as stocking of raw materials, operational materials and supplies, inventory control and records, purchasing, and related duties as required.
Main duties, and responsibilities but not limited to.
Take delivery of all incoming materials and reconcile with purchase orders
Track, document, and resolve any discrepancies on received orders
Ensure accuracy of the facility’s inventory system by updating records of physical inventory totals, receipts, adjustments, and returns
Manage inventory/supplies and ensure they are within the established minimum and maximum levels
Keep up-to-date records of receipts, records, and withdrawals from the stockroom
Responsible for packing, pricing, labeling, and returning supplies
Responsible for stock rotation and coordinating the disposal of surpluses
Oversee the handling of freight, the movement of equipment, and minor repairs
Manage supplier relations and database as well as maintain high ethical relationships both internally and externally
Create purchase orders and utilize purchasing cards to perform low-value procurement activities
Reports for shipping cancelled or damaged items back to suppliers as appropriate.
- Requirements
- - At least two years of experience in an automotive parts warehouse
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Basic understanding of automotive parts and mechanical systems.
- Basic mathematical skills to develop and maintain invoices and inventories.
- Proficient with or able to quickly learn the inventory system.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software programs
