Description: Porters may perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, and restocking bathrooms. They may also prepare trash and recycling for pickup.
Customer service
Porters may provide customer service in hotels, resorts, or guesthouses. Their duties may include greeting guests, carrying their luggage, and showing them to their rooms. They may also answer questions about the hotel, make reservations, and arrange taxis.
Kitchen
Kitchen porters may be responsible for cleaning and organizing the kitchen, including washing cookware, sanitizing work stations, storing deliveries, and managing inventory. They may also clean kitchen machinery, floors, walls, fridges, and shelving.
Service
Service porters may assist customers with their vehicles, clean, organize, and maintain the service department, and create a positive customer experience.
Housekeeping
Housekeeping porters may assist with cleaning and sanitizing shared facilities and common spaces. Their duties may include washing windows, vacuuming and cleaning floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes. They may also perform limited grounds maintenance
