Description
Menu Development & Execution:
Creating and implementing diverse and creative menus, including seasonal and innovative dishes, often with a focus on traditional Japanese techniques and presentation.
Food Preparation & Presentation:
Preparing a wide range of Japanese dishes, including sushi, sashimi, and other specialties, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and visual appeal.
Kitchen Management:
Overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.
Staff Supervision & Training:
Leading and mentoring kitchen staff, providing guidance on Japanese cooking techniques, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
Inventory & Cost Management:
Managing the ordering, storage, and inventory of ingredients, monitoring food costs, and minimizing waste.
Customer Interaction:
Depending on the role, potentially interacting with customers to gather feedback and personalize their dining experience.
Quality Control:
Ensuring all dishes meet the restaurants quality and presentation standards.
Food Safety:
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
