Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating malocclusions and other alignment issues, developing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, and monitoring progress throughout the course of treatment. The Orthodontist will also work closely with other dental professionals to coordinate care and ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner are essential for building trust and rapport with patients. A Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine degree is required, along with completion of an accredited orthodontics residency program. Responsibilities
• Diagnose and treat dental irregularities in patients, focusing on alignment and positioning of teeth and jaws.
• Create customized treatment plans for each patient to address their specific dental needs and achieve optimal results.
• Install and adjust orthodontic appliances such as braces, retainers, and aligners to correct teeth and jaw alignment.
• Monitor progress of treatment and make adjustments as needed to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
• Educate patients on proper care and maintenance of orthodontic appliances and the importance of oral hygiene during treatment.
• Collaborate with other dental professionals, such as oral surgeons and general dentists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and trends in orthodontic treatment to provide the highest quality care to patients.
• Maintain detailed records of patient consultations, treatments, and progress to track outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
• Evaluate and address potential risks or complications associated with orthodontic treatment and take appropriate measures to mitigate them.
• Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients throughout their orthodontic treatment journey.
• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.
• Completion of an accredited orthodontic residency program.
• State licensure to practice as an orthodontist.
• Board certification by the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
