Perform Eye Surgery:
Conduct surgical procedures to correct physical abnormalities, deficiencies, and injuries of the eye.
Provide Vision Care:
Offer vision services, such as prescribing and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses.
Comprehensive Eye Exams:
Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess eye health and diagnose visual problems.
Patient Consultation:
Advise patients on proper eye care practices and provide consultation to other physicians.
Research:
Many ophthalmologists participate in scientific research to find causes and cures for eye diseases.
Referrals:
Recognize and refer patients for other health problems that may not be directly related to the eye.
