- Nurse educators primarily teach prospective nursing professionals clinical skills, patient care methods, and best collaboration practices. However, they also take on a number of additional responsibilities revolving around both the academic and research side of the profession, including: Instructing hospital research.
- Requirements
- A masters or doctoral degree in nursing.
A Certified Nurse Education certification.
A Registered Nursing Licence.
A strong clinical background.
A working knowledge of the theories of education and learning to design curricula.
Current working knowledge of clinical procedures and protocols.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
