- As an AutoCAD draftsman, you are responsible for generating technical drawings for a wide range of uses using CAD (computer-aided design). You may use your skills to develop blueprints for an architect or manufacturing specs and technical drawings for a factory. Draftsmen may specialize in a certain area or have a broad set of skills and qualifications. AutoCAD drafters may work as freelancers or as part of a firm. The daily responsibilities and duties vary significantly, based on the job.

- Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed shop drawings, joinery drawings, and as-built drawings for interior fit-out projects.
Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and deliverables.
Produce accurate and high-quality 2D and 3D drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or 3D Max.
Ensure all drawings comply with UAE/GCC building regulations and standards.
Create detailed drawings for ceilings, partitions, carpentry, flooring, and other fit-out elements.
Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to clarify design details and resolve technical issues.
Update and revise drawings based on site changes or client feedback.
Maintain organized records of all drawings and project documentation.
Assist in the preparation of material schedules and BOQs (Bills of Quantities).
Ensure all work is completed within project timelines and quality standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Diploma or degree in Architecture, Interior Design
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Fit-Out Draftsman
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D), Revit, SketchUp, or 3D Max.
Strong knowledge of interior fit-out materials (e.g., wood, glass, metal, laminates, etc.).
Soft Skills:
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in joinery drafting and FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment).
Knowledge of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) coordination in fit-out projects.
Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) processes.
