Heavy Bus Driver

Description: Ensure passenger safety by following traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations
Customer service: Provide excellent customer service and address passenger inquiries
Vehicle maintenance: Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the bus, and report any mechanical issues to the maintenance team
Passenger assistance: Assist passengers with boarding, seating, and exiting the bus, including those with disabilities
Route adherence: Operate the bus on the assigned route and schedule, stopping at all stops
Cleanliness: Keep the bus clean and presentable to the public
Communication: Communicate to passengers any delays or planned route changes

Requirements: Proven experience as a Driver
A valid driver’s license
A clean driving record
Minimum visual acuity of 20/50 (or corrected to 20/50)
Familiarity with GPS devices
Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
Ability to lift heavy packages and luggage
Availability to occasionally take weekend and night shifts
A polite and professional disposition
Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
A high school diploma
